Quality management in the pesantren based education system at MI Al Kautsar Durisawo plays a significant role in developing students’ religious character. The integration of the general curriculum and the pesantren curriculum is expected to contribute to the development of students’ character by maintaining a balance between intellectual and spiritual values. Through the integration of Islamic values, the institution fosters discipline, responsibility, honesty, and social awareness among students. This study aims to describe the implementation of pesantren based quality management in shaping students’ religious character at MI Al Kautsar Durisawo. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed through three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was established through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that: 1. Planning involved the design of integrated religious and academic programs, including Quran memorization (Tahfidz), Dhuha prayer, and congregational prayer. 2. The implementation of pesantren based quality management was carried out through the integration of religious values into school activities and teacher role modeling. 3. Evaluation was conducted continuously through attitude assessments, monitoring of religious activities, and monitoring of students’ character development. 4. The religious character developed among students included discipline, honesty, responsibility, social awareness, and politeness in interactions with teachers and peers.
