The study was conducted by examining classical and modern literature on Islamic psychology, Western theories of educational psychology, as well as the works of scholars such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Sina, and Ibn Khaldun. Data analysis uses content analysis techniques which include theme identification, categorization of educational psychology components, synthesis of Western and Islamic concepts, and formulation of learning implications. The results of the study show that educational psychology in Islam has a more holistic approach because it includes cognitive, affective, motivational, interest, individual development, social interaction, and spiritual dimensions. The Islamic perspective emphasizes the integration of the values of tauhid, adab, intention, and tazkiyatun nafs in the entire educational process. The integration of modern theory and Islamic values has been proven to increase intrinsic motivation, critical thinking skills, interest in learning, character formation, and balance of students' development. This research confirms that Islamic-based educational psychology is a comprehensive and relevant paradigm to face contemporary educational challenges. This approach has the potential to produce students who are intellectually superior, have noble character, and have spiritual depth, so that it is in line with the goal of Islamic education to form kamil people.
Nurrahma Nurrahma, Lukman Gappar, Supriandi Supriandi Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/235 Mon, 29 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Analysis the Influence of Digital Platforms On Increasing Interest In Alms Of Generation Z https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/174
This study examines the influence of digital platforms on Generation Z’s interest in almsgiving within the framework of Islamic values. Using a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, the research involved a survey of 60 respondents who had previously donated through digital means, followed by in-depth interviews with selected participants. The quantitative results reveal that perceived ease of use, accessibility, and trust in digital platforms significantly influence interest in digital almsgiving. Additionally, Islamic values such as religiosity, ibadah maliyah (financial worship), and the pursuit of barakah (divine blessing) play a central role in shaping intentions. Qualitative findings further show that emotional engagement, particularly empathy evoked by donation content and social encouragement from peers and influencers, enhances this interest. The study concludes that Generation Z’s participation in digital almsgiving is driven by a synergy of technological convenience, spiritual motivation, and emotional-social dynamics. These findings offer important implications for optimizing digital donation platforms and advancing Islamic digital almsgiving.
Septian Yudha Saputra, Muhammad Nadzir Musyafa', Bagas Aji Pamungkas, Erlina Putri Arya Sabrina Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/174 Mon, 23 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Psychological and Spiritual Motivations Behind Digital Alms Giving https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/173
The research aims to identify the internal emotional, cognitive, and faith-based factors that influence charitable behavior through digital platforms, and how these motivations reflect the interplay between modern technology and traditional religious values. The advent of digital technology has had a profound impact on the domain of digital charity. Based on the results of descriptive analysis and statistical tests, it was found that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on memorization ability. The average emotional intelligence score of 68.7 and memorization ability of 63.1 indicate that although the level of emotional intelligence of students is relatively good, their memorization ability is still below it. The regression analysis yielded a correlation coefficient value (R) of 0.474, indicating a moderate relationship between the two variables, and an R-Square value of 0.225 indicating a contribution of emotional intelligence of 22.5% to memorization ability. In addition, the ANOVA test results showed a significance of 0.000, which means the relationship between emotional intelligence and memorization ability is statistically significant. The calculated F-value of 15.345 also supports the validity of the regression model used. These findings confirm the importance of developing emotional aspects in the tahfidz learning process. Emotional coaching that includes emotional management, self-motivation, and spiritual resilience has been shown to contribute to successful Qur'an memorization. Thus, pesantren are expected not only to focus on the technical aspects of memorization, but also to integrate learning strategies that support the balance between students' cognitive and emotional abilities. This holistic approach is believed to be able to improve the quality of memorization more optimally and sustainably.
M. Core values such as kamase-masea (simplicity), kalambusang (honesty), and adherence to customary law are integrated into all aspects of daily life. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with a key informant from the Kajang community who had pursued formal education outside the traditional region. The findings reveal that character education within the Kajang community is shaped through daily practices, role modeling, and active participation in customary rituals. The four paired values of Tuoki’na Kamase-masea which emphasize simplicity in sitting, speaking, walking, and dressing form the foundation for youth character development. The community maintains social equality by symbolic practices such as not using chairs inside homes, enforcing verbal discipline through social fines for harsh language, and prohibiting footwear as a sign of respect toward the earth. This study aims to analyze the trend of using Professional Facebook (FB-Pro) in Ranggo Village by reviewing differences based on gender and its relevance in the perspective of Islamic Education. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with interview, observation, and documentation techniques on 10 content creators (5 men and 5 women) and 2 religious figures. The data is analyzed with a thematic approach to identify key patterns, themes, and categories. The results of the study show that FB-Pro is used by the public not only as a means of entertainment, but also as an economic opportunity through content monetization. The gender difference is quite significant: men tend to be limited to personal content and hobbies, while women are more creative, expressive, and successfully use FB-Pro for economic purposes. In terms of Islamic education, religious leaders emphasized that social media should be directed to useful activities, such as da'wah, education, and the dissemination of positive information. This study concludes that FB-Pro has great potential as a medium for da'wah, learning, and community empowerment, although it is currently more predominantly used for entertainment. Therefore, digital education based on Islamic values that emphasizes ethics, responsibility, and gender equality is needed so that the use of social media can provide benefits for the people.
Yeni Yeni, Irwan Supriadin, Irma Indriani Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/221 Sun, 28 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Fostering Student Learning Creativity https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/223
This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ learning creativity at SMKN 2 Pangkep. The diversity of religion, ethnicity, language, and culture is an inevitable reality that should serve as a source of strength rather than conflict. However, the lack of multicultural awareness often leads to social tensions. In this context, education plays a strategic role in instilling human values, tolerance, and respect for differences through an inclusive and multicultural-oriented curriculum, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze multicultural values, identify strategies for developing a multicultural-based curriculum, and examine the challenges and solutions in its implementation. The method used is a qualitative approach with a library research design, focusing on the exploration and analysis of various written sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant online materials. The results of the study indicate that the application of values such as tolerance, unity, mutual cooperation, and solidarity plays an important role in shaping inclusive student character. The strategies used include adjusting the educational philosophy toward a more humanistic approach, integrating cultural values into learning materials, implementing collaborative learning, and using comprehensive evaluation methods. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, the multicultural approach is effective in fostering religious moderation and tolerance, although it still faces obstacles such as limited resources and insufficient teacher training. Siri' Na Pacce is a philosophy of life for the Bugis-Makassar community that contains moral, social, and spiritual values such as self-esteem (siri') and social concern (pacce). This study uses a qualitative approach with the library research method, exploring various cultural, Islamic, and character education literature. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to explore the relevance between Siri' Na Pacce values and the principles of Islamic character education. The research findings indicate that Siri' aligns with the Islamic concepts of 'izzah (self-respect) and haya' (shame toward sin), while Pacce reflects the values of rahmah (compassion) and ukhuwah islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). These two values have great potential to be integrated into the Islamic character education curriculum thru curriculum approaches, habituation, and role modelling. Case studies in several Islamic educational institutions in South Sulawesi show that applying the values of Siri' Na Pacce can strengthen the character development of students to be honest, responsible, and caring toward others. Thus, Siri' Na Pacce is not only a local cultural heritage, but also a paradigm of Islamic character education that is contextual and relevant in addressing the moral challenges of the younger generation in the era of globalization.
Muhammad Ilham Hidayat, Musyrifah Rasyid, Ismi Nurannisa, M. His values as a leader justice, integrity, accountability, and consultation demonstrate that power should be used to serve, not to control. This article discusses the leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a moral and political example that remains relevant today. The Prophet was known as a statesman who successfully created a moral and just society, as well as a spiritual leader. His moral and ethical leadership was based on fundamental leadership values including social responsibility, justice, consideration, and honesty. By applying a historical perspective and examining prophetic values, this article demonstrates how the Prophet's teachings on leadership can address various contemporary issues, including declining integrity, abuse of power, and the rise of individualism. The application of these principles will result in leadership that is humane, honest, and focused on society. The use of hermeneutics as the foundational basis of Islamic education is grounded in the Qur’an and prophetic teachings. The objective of this study is to analyze the extent to which the hermeneutic method can serve as a foundation for Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. The data sources consist of both primary and secondary materials. Primary data were obtained from key reference books, while secondary data were drawn from relevant journals, books, magazines, and other documents related to this research. The data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that Islamic education requires the integration of cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions, all of which aim to bring human beings closer to God and to actualize their human potential. Thus, Qur’anic and prophetic hermeneutics offer a dynamic conceptual framework for understanding Islamic education as a process of meaning-making rather than merely a transfer of knowledge.
Asman Asman, Woro Yustia Pratiwi, Bambang Sismedi Saputro, Muhammad Muhammad, Andri Nirwana Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/228 Mon, 29 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Strengthening Religious Moderation through the Local Wisdom Values of Sipakatau, Sipakalebbi, and Sipakainge in Islamic Religious Education https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/227
This study aims to analyze the role of the local wisdom values of Bugis Sipakatau, Sipakalebbi, and Sipakainge in strengthening religious moderation through Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Using a qualitative approach through the library research method, this study examines relevant literature related to the concept of religious moderation, Islamic education, and local Bugis cultural values. The results of the study show that the three main values are closely related to Islamic principles that emphasize humanity, justice, and balance in religion. Sipakatau means humanizing humans, Sipakalebbi emphasizes mutual respect, while Sipakainge contains the value of reminding each other in kindness. These three values substantively reflect the principles of religious moderation, namely fairness, tolerance, and avoiding extremism. The implementation of 3S values in PAI learning can be carried out through contextual and culture-based approaches, such as social projects, reflection on human values, and collaboration with indigenous leaders and local scholars. This study concludes that the integration of Sipakatau, Sipakalebbi, and Sipakainge values not only strengthens the relevance of PAI in the multicultural context of Indonesia, but also becomes a strategic foundation for building a religious character that is moderate, humanist, and rooted in the nation's culture.
Ince Ansar H Arifin; Ulil Amri; Muhammad Yusuf, Muhammad Tang Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/227 Mon, 29 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Transformative Learning in AIK Learning: Strategies to Improve Students' Religious and Critical Literacy in the Era of Pop Culture and Social Media https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/230
The phenomenon of pop culture and social media has become an integral part of student’s lives, influencing their ways of thingking, values, and daily behaviors. Tajwid learning, which predominantly uses lectures and written exercises, causes students to lack motivation and often make mistakes in reading rules such as idgham, ikhfa, and iqlab. The purpose of this study is to develop effective, interesting, and interactive learning media that are in line with the learning characteristics of tahfidz students in order to improve their understanding and interest in learning tajwid. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the research subjects consisting of tahfidz teachers and students at Rumah Tahfidz Zamilatul Qur'an. Data was collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed. The results show that the technology-based interactive learning media developed received positive responses from teachers and students. This media is considered effective because it is able to present the rules of reading nun mati and tanwin visually and auditorily through letter animations, audio pronunciation, interactive exercises, and evaluations. The application of this media also increases the motivation, active involvement, and accuracy of students' pronunciation in reading the Qur'an.
Nadia Fahirah, Syahrani Nur Fauziah, Raudhatun Nissa Rusaranha, Akmal Rizki Gunawan Hasibuan Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/241 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Exploration of the Psychological Elements in the Qur'an and Their Contribution to the Formation of Religious Character in Schools: A Literature Study https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/243
This research aims to identify and analyze the psychological elements contained in the Qur'an and their relevance to Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The study was carried out through the library research method by examining primary literature in the form of verses of the Qur'an, tafsir, and scientific works related to the psychology of Islamic education. The results of the study show that the Qur'an contains a number of psychological concepts that play an important role in the educational process, namely cognitive aspects (tafaqquh, tafakkur, dhikr, critical reason), affective (faith, patience, gratitude, compassion, fear and hope), and psychomotor (pious deeds, positive habits, behavior control). These three elements work integratively in shaping the personality character of students and directing the learning process that touches on mental, spiritual, and moral aspects. This study emphasizes that the use of Qur'an-based psychological principles in PAI learning can comprehensively increase students' motivation, religious awareness, and morals. These findings open up opportunities for the development of a PAI learning model that is more humanistic, holistic, and oriented towards the formation of Islamic personality.
Andi Aziz, Aripuddin Aripuddin, Supriandi Supriandi Copyright (c) 2025 Edusoshum : Journal of Islamic Education and Social Humanities https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/243 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Mental Health in an Islamic Perspective: A Conceptual Analysis of Islamic Education Psychology and Its Implications for the Development of Muslim Personality https://edusoshum.org/index.php/EDU/article/view/244
Mental health is an important foundation in shaping the quality of human life because it affects mindset, emotional stability, behavioral control, and social abilities.
